Hello. I’m Jude LeMoine. I help families train their puppies.
“Why do I train puppies?” you ask.
Because when I was a little girl ten Boxer puppies made my life bearable and brought me joy and because these cute, sweet-smelling fur bundles turn so quickly into adult dogs. What’s cute in a puppy isn’t cute at all in an adult dog.
And the other reason is because it’s fun and so easy. Puppies up to 16 weeks (4 months) are sponges. You can teach them anything and you do whether it’s intentional or not.
I am your problem-prevention puppy trainer. I make it easy and fun for you and your family by coming to your home when you first bring your puppy home. I use a reward-based training system that helps you create a bond with your new puppy.
I love people. I love dogs. I love helping people and making a difference.
Minus the dog part, that’s the story of my formal working life. Once I retired and could do what I chose, my passion for dogs re-ignited and from there it was an easy step to puppies. (My children and grandchildren will vouch for the fact I like good behavior!)
I formalized my interest by attending seminars with Dr. Ian Dunbar and I still attend one of his seminars every year. In addition, I completed “Coaching People to Train Their Dogs” with Terry Ryan of Legacy Training in Sequim, WA.
My mission is: Keep puppies in their first homes for life.
I believe that if you build a strong bond through puppy training, your puppy will be with you for life.
Earlier this year Anthony Germain of the CBC St. John’s Morning Show interviewed me. Here’s the link .The People on the West Coast of Newfoundland got to hear me too. Here’s a link to that interview.
